Mark Barlet founded AbleGamers in 2004. It’s a nonprofit that works to combat social isolation among people with disabilities using “the power of video games.” Most recently, his organization worked with Sony to help create its new Access controller for the PlayStation, designed to make it easier for people with disabilities to play. Question: When did you begin consulting for Sony on this controller? Answer: We’ve had a relationship with Sony for other projects for a while. Sony has been on the forefront on the software side of creating accessible experiences. But about five years ago, they reached out to us and said, we have an idea. Can we talk to you about what this idea is?Q: And what was the idea? A: They wanted to create a controller that really supported players with disabilities and wanted to learn from our organization on what the experience was like — what were they solving? When they came to us, they were looking at what do we need to worry about — this disability or thi...Spanish police say they have confiscated ancient gold jewelry worth millions taken from Ukraine

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesia’s top court rejected an effort to block presidential candidates who are over 70 or implicated in human rights abuses, clearing the legal path for a septuagenarian former general’s ultra-nationalist campaign. Lawyers belonging to a human rights advocacy group and other petitioners argued that the constitution required stricter limits than those written in the country’s 2017 General Election Law, which sets no maximum age. If successful, the petition would have blocked frontrunner Prabowo Subianto, 72, a former special forces general and current defense minister, from competing in the election scheduled for next February. While the petitioners said they were not targeting a particular candidate, Subianto’s candidacy is widely feared by human rights activists, who associate him with torture and disappearances during the final years of the Suharto dictatorship. The petitioners asked the court to rule that the candidates cannot be olde...Kimberly Palmer: Ways to recover from a financial shock and be prepared next time

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A man is dead after being shot by Austin Police Department officers in north Austin Sunday night. According to Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson, APD got a call around 8 p.m. that a man was threatening his wife and child with a gun inside an apartment in the 9000 block of Northgate Boulevard, between Highway 183 and West Rundberg Lane. Henderson said officers tried to get the man to come out, but he wouldn't. Around 8:30, officers saw the man on the balcony with the gun and fired a "less lethal" weapon at him, then he went back inside. APD called in the SWAT team, but before it arrived, officers were worried the woman and child were in danger and entered the apartment themselves, according to Henderson. Henderson said as officers entered the apartment, the suspect began firing a gun at the officers, who returned fire, hitting the man. Officers tried to save the man's life, but he died. The woman and child were able to get out of the apartment safely without any i...Opening statements in murder trial involving APD officer to begin Monday

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Kenny and it's about getting a massage. Here's his email:Good morning Jaime,I’m emailing you this morning because I have to get your opinion on something. So I have a bad neck and started going to massage therapy on a regular basis. It feels great, and unbeknownst to me, I’m a moaner, and I moan when it feels really good. Well apparently, that’s a no-no and you’re not supposed to moan even if you have a male massage therapist. I found out after one of the therapists asked me to moan a little quieter. When I came home and told my wife she told me you are never to moan out loud in pleasure at a massage therapy place. I had no idea.My question is, why? If I’m paying for it and it feels good to let out a moan, shouldn’t I be allowed too? What do you think? Thanks,Kenny Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! This is so interesting. I also have a bad back and have had many massages.
