Two homes destroyed, firefighter burned in 2-alarm firework fire DENVER (KDVR) -- Two homes were destroyed in an overnight fire that injured one of the firefighters on the scene.South Metro Fire Rescue said the fire was burning two homes on Kimball Street in Parker at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday. Two minutes later, they tweeted that a second alarm had been transmitted.A couple of hours later, they said one firefighter was transported to the hospital with "a minor burn injury." The investigators determined that the fire was caused by "improper disposal of legal fireworks" in a plastic bin outside of the garage.According to South Metro Fire Rescue, both homes were destroyed and families were displaced.

The crash happened near Colorado Boulevard on eastbound I-70.DPD provided an update at 4:37 a.m., saying that after some investigation the incident is being investigated as a shooting. Officers were still investigating as of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Eastbound I-70 was closed from Washington Street to Colorado Boulevard.

(WSVN) – Tampa police apprehended a man on Monday morning who allegedly directed a laser at a police helicopter, endangering the pilots and prompting concerns about safety. Video footage captured the alarming moments when the laser was aimed at the aircraft. According to the Tampa Police Department, the incident unfolded when the pilots of the police helicopter reported the blinding laser beam that was directed at them from an apartment building.With assistance from aviation, Temple Terrace and Tampa PD officers were able to identify the apartment from which the laser originated. The individual has been identified as 26-year-old Juan Lozada Samorano.
