Published Tue, 04 Mar 2025 11:40:18 GMT

(BCN) -- To create an education system that has stable funds for mental health, California educators and leaders are turning to the health system and launching a statewide behavioral health initiative to fill funding gaps in fluctuating, sometimes unpredictable school budgets."The health systems and the education systems are not bound together successfully enough to make sure we engage in both prevention and treatment," said David Gordon, a commissioner at the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission.
