Denver Post sports writer Patrick Saunders with the latest installment of his Rockies Mailbag.Pose a Rockies- or MLB-related question for the Rockies Mailbag. Are the Rockies looking to sell off some outfield/corner infield prospects for MLB-ready pitching?— Andrew, Fort LuptonAndrew, greetings from the MLB winter meetings from the Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville. If you’ve never been here, it’s a pretty amazing place: an indoor tourist city under a steel-and-glass roof with a fake river and Christmas lights. Think of the movie “The Truman Show.”But I digress.General manager Bill Schmidt told me Monday that he’s open to trading both established players and prospects in exchange for pitching. Whether that happens or not remains a huge question mark. As far as corner players go, the club could dangle outfielders Sean Bouchard and Hunter Goodman, and perhaps DH/first baseman Elehuris Montero. The problem is, to get an MLB-ready pitch...

‘Monster Hunter Now’ begins Fulminations of Frost season Nov. 7

Published Wed, 26 Feb 2025 19:54:48 GMT

Since its release, “Monster Hunter Now” has become one of my go-to mobile games along with “Marvel Snap” and “Pokemon Go.” The title nails the action-oriented nature of the gameplay while compressing it into battles that last less than three minutes. It’s the first Niantic titles other than “Pokemon Go” that has the stickiness that’s needed for a mobile game to survive long term. Now, the title enters its latest phase with a new season called Fulminations in the Frost. As part of the new content drop, Niantic is release four new monsters to the mix: Zinogre, Banbaro, Barioth and Radobaan. To help players out, Niantic is also adding two new weapons: the Lance and the Dual Blades. Along with the new monsters, players should expect new armor sets and weapons. In addition to the n...

If you want to understand the wrenching generational rift over Israel among many left-leaning American Jews, the documentary “Israelism,” which came out this year, is a good place to start.Much of it centers on the political evolution of Simone Zimmerman, who was raised to be a staunch Zionist, began questioning her beliefs even as she defended Israel at the UC Berkeley, and was transformed by her encounter with the harrowing reality of the Palestinian occupation.
