ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Son of Egg, a Korean-American restaurant, has closed its Albany location until further notice. An employee at Son of Egg's Rensselaer location confirmed the closure. The building that houses Son of Egg at 418 Madison Avenue in Albany has some structural issues and is unsafe, said the employee. Owners Min Cho Ko and Justin Ko are working with the building's owners to see what has to happen to reopen the restaurant.The Kos opened Son of Egg in Albany during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. They opened the Rensselaer location at 483 Broadway in 2022. The order came in light of a biometric identifying technology in schools report from the Office of Information Technology Services. (WFLA) — The National Hurricane Center is continuing to watch Tropical Storm Philippe and a disturbance, which is expected to become the next named storm.The NHC said it is watching an area of showers and thunderstorms that continue to show signs of organization.The system is located about halfway between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles. GRANITE CITY, Ill. -- A woman is under arrest for the death of a former boyfriend. Tara Anderson, 37, is facing murder charges in the fatal shooting of Phillip Armstrong, 39, of Granite City. A judge has ordered her to be held in police custody until her detention hearing.Police were called to the 1400 block of Madison Avenue on the evening of September 24 for a report of a shooting. They found Armstrong's body in the road with a gunshot wound to the chest. CHARLES – The St. Charles County Police Department is conducting a training exercise today from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The training will be held at the old Regal Stadium theater, located at the 900 Block of Caledonia Dr. in O'Fallon, Missouri across from the Casa Tequila Cantina and Grill.Police are warning people in the area that there will be many police vehicles, SWAT teams, and other specialty vehicles there. A hiker became lost overnight Sunday in the area of Walker Ranch Open Space in Boulder County after becoming disoriented and unable to find her husband.At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, a 50-year-old woman set out on a hike at the South Boulder Creek while her husband fished. The two had agreed to meet at a bridge that intersected the creek and trail at a set time. However, when her husband returned to meet with her, she was not there and didn’t return for an extended period of time, according to a Boulder County Sheriff’s Office news release.The husband checked the trailhead before beginning to search around the creek and trails, the release said.
